Crocs Are Ugly

There are furry crocs ewww thats gross.

Crocs are ugly. They might be ugly but man they are comfy. And one of the reasons why my opinion has evolved a little bit is that i do think we as a culture look at these ugly yet comfortable pieces of footwear. Crocs are not ugly. I mean i don t think of crocs as ugly as much as i think of them as being for children i can t say that i think crocs are particularly defensible from an aesthetic pov.

I love how comfortable and easy they are to wear put on. Peace love and bubblegum. They make a few styles that look nothing like the original crocs super cute. Crocs are ugly to me too but they are really comfortable i wear them around the house but i wouldnt dare wear them in public.

Balenciaga s take on the crocs was purposefully outrageous and funny a smash hit in fashion s irony addled period of the late 10s when the coolest clothes were ugly clothes. Crocs are not ugly. They may not be very fashion forward but calling them ugly is a stretch. I mean i don t look down at people who wear them.

Though a lot of cool people and celebrities wear crocs and the brand manages to make them look pretty cute on instagram i m not going to sit here and pretend that it looks hip or stylish when i wear them. I do not understand all the crocs hate. While crocs won t cost you much financially they could cost you your reputation.
